Shaping the Future One Singer at a Time
Educating, developing, and inspiring young singers for over 25 years.
Directed by Cheryl Anderson, the Cabrillo Youth Chorus (CYC) provides a comprehensive vocal music program for children 8-18 years of age.
We provide a wonderful ensemble experience that incorporates beautiful singing tone and music-reading fluency, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and joy.
The delightful and educational program involves making music with excellent professional musicians using the best of literature. Our young singers experience the rewards of dedication to the craft.

One Week Musical Day Camp • M-F • 8:30am - 3:00pm
Summer Voice Camp is a week-long camp aimed to give your child an unforgettable musical experience as they put together an original music performance in one week.
Participants will learn music theory and musicianship; practice improvisation, dance, and rhythms; play recorders, Orff, and other instruments; and sing opera and musical theater literature. Most of all, they will have a great time while they learn! Voice Camp is open to children 8-18 years of age; no experience is needed – just a love of singing!

MISSION STATEMENT
The Cabrillo Youth Chorus is an inclusive and welcoming organization founded upon the premise that if there are children, there is song. The mission of Cabrillo Youth Chorus is to educate, develop, and inspire musically talented children of all races, religions, genders, abilities, socio-economic backgrounds and ethnicities to attain the highest possible level of choral artistry.
This goal is achieved through excellent teaching with focus upon music literacy, tone development, ear-training, and by working with professional musicians. The repertoire is chosen to fit each choir’s skill level and covers the gamut of repertoire to include established classical works, art songs, songs from the American heritage, and arrangements of folk songs from around the world, incorporating many languages.
